In the midst of low interest rates, greater market based competition, and the need to continue to lend to SMEs and support the housing market, financial institutions will need to be more effective with the consumption of capital, particularly at a time when new CRDIV buffers come in to effect in 2019.
In partnership with the BBA, myself and colleague Nevan recently ran a webinar on the fundamentals of capital and the challenges of moving from standardised to advanced IRB modelling capability to help you get ahead.

In this one hour webinar we cover:
- The challenges facing newer banks looking to optimise capital consumption
- Your main priorities in the evaluation of IRB and how you can prepare
- Main impacts and regulator expectations, focusing on data management, modelling and governance
We will be running a more in-depth one-day workshop on IRB, with the BBA, in September 2017. If you would like to join us, please register your interest by emailing us at [email protected]. Once registration has opened, we will email you to let you know.
