Over the last 18 months we have exclusively partnered with UK Finance to host six Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Networks forums... This C-suite, members only breakfast briefing sees us team up with UK Finance at their head office in London to discuss your biggest challenges and share best practice.
As UK Finance’s exclusive CRO Network partner we ran four sessions last year, and two so far this year – with two more to come in the New Year.
The forums are an opportunity to meet your peers and share experiences and challenges with like-minded individuals. You will also discover insight from both our specialists, UK Finance, and your peers on key topics of interest to you. Our experts create best practice content bespoke for each session and present it before opening up the discussions and debates to the roundtable forum.
Our last session was hosted by me, our Managing Director Ben and our Head of Stress Testing Sonia. We covered two hot topics put forward by your peers:
Fastest Growing Firms Review
An open discussion based around the key themes of the letter from the PRA to CEO’s of the fastest growing firms:
1. ICAAP stress testing, based on the Bank of England’s published 2018 stress scenario;
2. Asset quality reviews; and
3. Funding and lending analysis
Implications of Basel III reforms
It’s been almost two years since BCBS published the reforms to Basel III and with the implementation deadline of 2022 now looming, are the impacts appropriately planned for?
- Have you encountered any challenges quantifying the impacts and incorporating into stress tests and corporate plans?
- Do you have material capital impacts?
- Are there any other non-capital implications such as material system changes, governance etc.
Previous events have seen us discuss; Stress Testing, Basel III reforms, preparing for Brexit, Open Banking, tackling the rise in online fraud, PRAs Fast Growing Firms review, Artificial Intelligence in credit and fraud scoring… and much more.
The events are exclusive to smaller to medium-sized lenders to allow for easy discussions amongst like-minded Chief Risk Officers. These events are booked up as soon as UK Finance announce them so if you are interested in attending, you need to sign up quickly.
Our next network is on the 4th February and will be advertised shortly. If you are interested in hearing what was discussed at previous sessions, get in touch.
