The DataIQ 100 profiles the most influential people in the data industry in 2017.
The list is developed through research and nominations to create a longlist of 250 before the final 100 are chosen. To arrive at the final selection, individuals must demonstrate the importance and value of data and analytics in the boardroom and be actively engaged in and committed to the industry.
Commenting on his achievement, Martin said, “It’s an honour to be acknowledged in the 2017 DataIQ 100. I’ve spent my entire career using data to improve the effectiveness of marketing by personalising the customer journey. The possibilities afforded by the ever-growing volume of data and the drivers in 2017 mean data is where it’s happening right now.
“2017 looks set to be a strong year for data and analytics as clients navigate regulation such as GDPR or IFRS 9, need to increase effectiveness of marketing spend, such as through better attribution and we’ll most certainly see continued innovation in online media and cross-channel marketing.
“Having banged the drum about data and analytics for over 25 years, it’s now far more widely acknowledged for its strategic value and attracting the investment it deserves. The key thing for us is to help our clients realise that value with data and analytics driving everything from creative to real-time customer interactions.”
